How public authorities provide services to minority ethnic groups – an emerging findings discussion paper
This paper outlines some emerging findings from research carried out in Northern Ireland, Ireland and Scotland. Its aim is to provide points for discussion at a conference on 28th March 2006 in Belfast (see project details). Discussion from the conference, along with ongoing research, will be presented in a final report in August / September 2006. The research has been commissioned by the Office of the First Minister and Deputy First Minister (Northern Ireland) from the Centre for Cross Border Studies, is being carried out by the NCCRI, the Institute for Conflict Research in Belfast, Piaras MacEinri at University College Cork, and Organisation and Social Development Consultants Ltd in Edinburgh.

Seeking Advice and Redress Against Racism in Ireland:
An Information Handbook.
As part of our public awareness campaign, the National Consultative Committee on Racism and Interculturalism (NCCRI) and Equality Commission for NI have updated the Seeking Advice and Redress Against Racism in Ireland.
The publication gives a detailed account on measures in place that seek to provide protection against discrimination, incitement to hatred and general protection against assaults and abuse. The guide aims to outline an overall approach to addressing racism and discrimination in its various manifestations. It also includes information on the anti-racism strategies in the South of Ireland, namely the Irish Government's National Action Plan Against Racism.
