2005 Bulletins for the European Information Network on Racism and Xenophobia
The NCCRI has just published six bulletins submitted to the European Information Network on Racism and Xenophobia (RAXEN) in 2005. The bulletins are submitted every two months and summarise 'political headlines', legal developments, research, racist incidents and other statistics in Ireland as requested by RAXEN.
The NCCRI in conjunction with the Equality Authority are the Irish National Focal Point for RAXEN. RAXEN is one of the key functions of the EU Monitoring Centre on Racism and Xenophobia (EUMC) and provides the European Union and its Member States with information and research on the phenomena of racism, xenophobia and anti-Semitism.
The Network is composed of 25 National Focal Points, one in each EU Member State. The NFPs work with other national bodies to provide the EUMC with data, reports and analysis.
